This place is supreme! Run don't walk! Not one thing was bad! Try their cinnamon roll. You won't regret it! Classic breakfast was perfect in every way 2 eggs, we did bacon, but you have 3 choices, toast and hash browns! The bacon melts in your mouth. We tried their bloody Mary so good and very spicy, the boozy orange Julius was like an orange creamsicle we had 2! The cinnamon teddy graham latte was the best latte I have ever had. The flavors the presentation all so great! Cinnamon roll, yes, I said that again, you can't not try it! I promise! I will be back before I leave hands down my favorite breakfast here so far! Joe R was amazing, gave lots of descriptions, and reassured us we made all the right choices!
This place was SO GOOD! I had a big smile as soon as I saw the building. Absolutely adorable and unique. The inside is decorated nicely too. A bright, fun and retro vibe. Our server was a delight and adorable. The food was delicious. I will say my steak was not as hot as I would like, but everything else was so spectacular and it was cooked correctly so I don't even care. The coffee was DELICIOUS. I got a latte with sugar free vanilla. You can tell everything is quality here, but I don't expect anything less coming from the team behind Jack Allen's and Salt Traders. I've been a fan for over 10 years! The manager also came and checked on us to make sure everything was good and it was! The whole place is a vibe and I'm here for it. Looking forward to coming back to try the pastrami! And definitely try their in house hot sauce. I gladly spent the money for it and wish they offered bigger bottles because mine is over halfway gone already!
Absolutely great, great breakfast, brunch, and lunch spot. The food is really good, very good portions, and many of if items (syrup, hot sauce, etc) is homemade. The staff is so sweet, there's plenty of seating BUT it does get wild on the weekend. They have a coffee shop with tacos if you want to grab and go. Tip: if you're coming alone or with a friend (2 top), sit at the bar. It's full service.
Love! We had brunch here today and their pastrami hash is truly the best breakfast bite in Austin! Such a cute space, great location and super friendly, efficient, excellent service by Gracie today. Highest recommendation - yum!
Day Maker Half Cafe did not disappoint! Our server Joe and the assistant general manager Jacob were amazing — excellent service and great recommendations. We ordered a few items off the menu: the Steak and Eggs, Lone Star Hash Bowl, Biscuits and Gravy, and a Cinnamon Roll (one of my favorites!). The juices were also delicious. Highly recommend!

We tried the Migas Verdes, the Hangover Enchilada, and the Classic Benny — and every bite was incredible. The Migas Verdes were bursting with flavor and had just the right kick. The Hangover Enchilada was comfort food at its best, and the Classic Benny was perfectly executed — rich, balanced, and satisfying. Service was fast and friendly, and the whole experience felt like a local gem that genuinely cares about quality and good vibes. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu. Highly recommend!
Day maker had an exciting breakfast menu full of things I'd like to come back for. The breakfast hash was excellent, as was the breakfast quesadilla. They also have a long list of alcoholic and coffee drinks. The wait staff were very friendly, there wasn't a wait despite the crowd, and the restaurant shares a large free parking lot shared with adjacent businesses.
